Ok just to be alittle bit honest.....I wanted to show off my Halloween costume for this year. The reasoning being, it didn't come in a bag with everything in it. I am so proud of myself in what I created.

White shirt, dark brown skirt and light brown skirt all purchased at DI, all for $10!! My mom assisted me in safety pinning the two skirts together and make it look bustled and layered. Boots, ribbon(as choker) and tights i already owned. Feathers in hair, total $2 at Michaels to create/clue to clip. Then the corset(a true one too, breathing became difficult throughout the night), which cost the most at the Renaissance fair this year. Equals my favorite costume ever!!!

Guess what time it is...........................time to F I N A L L Y post. Bwahhhhhhhh.

Just a quick rundown of what has been happening with us crazy Greens, then picture time....

Well way back in February, along with my job with Basch Construction, I began doing payroll for G.G. Construction(in-law company). Which led me to put my notice at my current job and work full time at G.G. Construction and for Danny and I's company, Green Contracting. Had vacation time owed to me so we took off down to Arizona and visited Flagstaff, Prescott(where we would like to move to eventually), and Phoenix. Where we had a wonderful time visiting Chase and Nicole Woods. While on vacation, I get a phone call from my direct supervisor from Basch, and got fired. Ya...never been fired before especially when I have already put my two weeks notice in, and never ever on the phone. So I began my adventures at GG and Green contracting a little earlier.

Then went with my brother and his family to Moab, UT. Thanks to Kevin for letting us borrow his toy(jeep). We had a blast and got amazing pictures.

Another visit to Uncle Lynn and Aunt Pat's ranch in Arizona. Always an crazy Green adventure there.

Summer came, finally able to enjoy the lake. Finally took my mom out on our boat and showed her the dam from Lake Meads view.

Had our 4th wedding anniversary, 10th in being together. Only had time for an evening out, a night at a hotel and right back to work the next day. We went to Red Rock Station, hung out at the pool, ate a very nice dinner, breakfast in bed and so forth.

4th of July at my brother's house in Elko. Technically our first Taylor reunion. It was a blast!!! I miss being with my family.

Had the pleasure of my nieces and nephews visit and stay with us parts of the summer. Two different reunions. The Jolley reunion(my Grandma Hirschi's family) and the Snodgress reunion.

But I would have to say, running our own construction company and doing AR/PR for another, is a butt load of work. Finally not learning something new everyday, and not having to fix many things. I get to actually enjoy a bit of it now, with less frustration and irritation. So that would be the reasoning of why I have yet to post all year.

It has been too long since I last posted. So I tried to think of something to post, and nothing came to mind, until now. Why I didn't think of it sooner, I don't know, must of had too many blonde moments these past few weeks.

For Christmas this year we spent it with the AWESOME GREEN FAMILY!!!! I came up with this idea of a family picture and what better with, Ugly Christmas Sweaters. I was able to get all the sweaters in on time from ebay (the cheaper ones are limited and they go fast). I would like to thank my loving family for participating with me in my crazy ideas. Oh as you can see we had to get the doggies involved as well.

Meet Dingleson Green, Dingle for short. He is our new bundle of joy. I never realized how large Fetch was and mature until we got this little rascal. He is 9 weeks old, a beagle and just plain adorable. His name came from one of our favorite places we went this summer, Dingle Peninsula, Kerry, Ireland. He also goes by the names of; Dinglehopper, Dingleberry, Dinglebutt and little shit.

Fetch is still trying to figure out what he is and how long he is staying. But I know that they will be BFFs before long. hehe. Now I think Fetch is getting a taste of how Buster felt whenever Fetch visited Ma and Pa Green. As for now I haven't enjoyed a full nights rest but Danny sure manages to sleep through it all. We are trying to salvage all shoe laces and all shoes for that matter with the addition of our hair (he loves playing with hair, very odd, very odd indeed) I knew he was a special puppy but I didn't realize how special.

Ok maybe not a real gig. But last Saturday my mom and I threw my sister Deborah and her husband Matt an Open House/Party for their wedding which occurred over in Germany 4 years ago and to welcome them back to the State for good. So my sister said I could plan it all and I did. I made my very first wedding cake(on a smaller scale). My lovely family helped me with assembling the food that we served. (it was nice to be bossy for a bit). So thank you for all of your help and thank you for all supporting my sis and her hubby. I enjoyed doing it a little too much and from what everyone else said they enjoyed the food and party.

This was a chance for me to test the waters to see if this is what I want to do, and from how this went, it is exactly what I want to do. When to start this career path; as soon as possible. I would like to finish up school with cakes before I move on any further. So by this Spring I will be ready!!!

Sorry I didn't post about it before, but being too busy at work and getting ready for our summer vacation there wasn't much time to blog. For 12 days Danny and I flew off to Europe and saw what we wanted to see in the short amount of time that we had. Our base was Speicher, Germany where my sister Deborah and her husband Matt live. Then traveled all around that area of Germany, Luxemburg, Belgiam, Austria, S. Germany(Munich, the Alps), Italy and my favorite, Ireland. We were going to go to Paris, France but Danny and I wanted S. Germany instead. Which I am glad we picked because the German and Austrian Alps were magnificent.

When I finally get the chance to review our pictures, I will post.

Okay I know I am a total nerd when I have my Ron t-shirt on, a lightning scar on my forehead and at the theaters 3 hours before the very first showing of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Oh and let me say, IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!! This movie is probably my favorite out of all of them. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!! There was only one scene that they didn't need to add (a little acquired), and one scene I wish they didn't take out. Oh even though Bellatrix is evil, bad and stuff, she is pretty awesome. But no telling from me, because I recommend, no I demand you all see this awesome movie. I am excited I get to see it again!!! HARRY POTTER ROCKS, well I am more of a RON WEASELY lover but just the series ROCKS!!

Yesterday we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and our 9th anniversary since we started dating. So it has been, "forever" as Danny would put it. I have been sitting here thinking of words or a phrase to express how much I love Danny and love spending my life with him, but I can't find any. Seriuosly, no words can express my feelings, I start typing then I backspace because what I say isn't enough. How cheesey is that. I think that is off of a movie or something if not it should be.

He surpised me with very elegant and nice dinner at Rosemary's Restuarant. The food was amazing as well as the service.

Two weekends ago Danny and I had the pleasure to go and visit my brother Morgan and his amazing family in Washington state. We had a blast and wished that they didn't live so far away, but I can't complain where they live. It rains(alot) and is gorgeous green. All the trees scare Danny. I love the trees. We went to Oregon Zoo, played many games inside and outside, a Wildlife Refugee, and went to the amazing Ikea. Man that place is awesome. We so need one here in Las Vegas. Our niece and two crazy nephews are getting so big and all grown up. I wish we could see all them more than once a year.

Jeep Trip

Last Saturday, we went on an amazing jeep ride with Danny's parents and friends. It was a ton of fun, and got to see some amazing views. We went on the back side of Mesquite and headed toward St. George. Who new it was so pretty back up in there. There was a total of 9 vehicles. 6 Jeeps, a izuzu Samurai, a rhino and our big Chevy Blazer. It was pretty cool, everyone got stuck except for us Greens. Yah!! The original plan was to go to Toroweap, which is part of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, but that would have take all day and probably even longer since everyone kept on getting stuck and having too much fun in the snow. I can't wait until our next trip/adventure.

Random Thought

The first time ever I thought to myself, “am I dressing my age?” The thought occurred to me when I was driving to work this morning. I pass junior high students walking to school on my way into work, and I noticed that some of the girls were wearing the same sort of clothes I am. Oh dear, I am dressing like girls who are half my age!!! What is the cut off age of how you should dress? Is 10 years above and below your age or 5? I always read in magazines and when I watch What Not to Wear (Love the show. I secretly just want to dress horribly so I can get on the show and have a whole new wardrobe. But with one condition, they always shop at expensive stores; I would want to spend the money at Target, Kohls and all the fun stores at the malls here in Vegas.) Oh back to what I was saying. Most women’s dressing problems in these sorts of shows occur when they dress like others who are younger/older then them. I just find it so funny, who new that thought would ever cross my mind, I know I didn’t.

Just a new year, my golden year b-day(24 on 24), working during the week and playing on the weekends. But I am going to even try harder to post something at least once a week even though it may be jibberish or some silly picture.

Two Little Stories

Let me tell you two little stories....

Story number 1. Two weekends ago Danny, Fetch and I went on a jeep ride with mom and dad Green, Arnie & Nancy, Joe & Tosha, and Buddy. We started just outside of St. George by the gorge, and went on an adventure (we had no map just memories) through and over the mountains. Our adventure finally ended up just where we wanted right in the back side of Mesquite, the Arizona side. We didn’t see any wild life but man it is gorgeous back there. It was so green and beautiful you would never have guessed that Mesquite was on the other side of the mountains. So when we started our journey, just before we got on the dirt roads I asked Danny to get my camera, come to find out, I had left the battery charging at home. So, no camera to take all the pretty pictures. But we did have loads of fun and can’t wait until the next jeep trip.

Story number 2. This last weekend Danny and I were very grateful for my sister in law and niece who were visiting Vegas for a wedding and had Friday night open to hang out with us. We had dinner and went and saw Role Model. Language was pretty bad but it was very funny. So thank you for hanging out with us we did have lots of fun. Then on Saturday we got up at 5am and headed to Danny’s Uncle Lynn and Aunt Pat’s ranch in Arizona. It was between Kingman and Flagstaff. We got up there and helped paint the house and Danny and Joey re-roofed the shed. The chores they needed help on only took us about 3 hours so we had the rest of the day to go hiking, shooting and the fun stuff us Greens do. So we are all together, mom, dad, Tyson, Joey (Nicole had to work), Danny, Fetch, Lynn, Pat and I. Having a great time. So I go to the car to get my camera and this time I brought my different lenses and filters to take some nature pictures. I made sure that I had my battery before we left home, but when I went to take a picture, there was no memory card. Yep I now had forgotten the memory card. Two weekends in a row, I remember the camera but not its parts. So I am sorry for not having pictures, they may have not been that great but at least it would have been more than just words.

As for this weekend, I will definitely be ready if any pictures need to be taken. I have plans to go see, oh you’ll never guess, ok TWILIGHT!!! On Saturday with my mom, aunts and cousins. Very excited to see it but I am also just as excited to be with the family because they are silly and crazy. So for those of you who will be seeing it on Friday keep the reviews a bare minimum. Or I will just view your blogs after I see it.

The Halloween Party

Sorry it took me awhile to post but been busy. Well for those of you who came, THANK YOU, and hope you had fun and for those who didn't here is a recap of what happened. With, of course, pictures. We made alot of food and alot ate, but we still had alot left over. We played bobbing for apples but on a string, very entertaining to watch. Then we did our murder mystery. Danny told the story and gave clues but everyone was making it even more difficult to figure out who was the murderer, but it was very fun especially when we told who was who in the story they had to start acting like that character. We couldn't ask for a better night, either especially when the next night it was raining.

Fall is finally here. I woke up this morning to the smell of rain, over cast, cool breeze, and a bit of chill. It was beautiful. Oh and I LOVE Halloween!!! I am infatuated with it. It isn't quite better than Christmas but it is up there. I can't exactly express how much I love this time of year, and HALLOWEEN. I am actually throwing my first real Halloween party this year and everyone is invited if they are interested. Danny and I are hosting it at his parents house in Logandale. Costumes are required and it is a Murder Mystery, so whoever solves the case wins a big prize. Plus prizes for your costumes too.

These past few weekends Danny and I have had the chance to finally go to the lake this year so I have some pics. And I am getting a lot better on the Wakeboard, and can actually jump and land it, well I think I jump. It may be only 6 inches off the water but I am off the water. Last weekend Danny, Joey and I went and I did some jumping on the wakeboard, and didn't quite land it just right and sort of touched my heels with my head, so a back bend. My body isn't ment to bend that far. I pulled a muscle in abdomen, so sitting up or moving stomach really hurt for about a week.

Labor Day Weekend

I wasn't going to post what we did, but then I have been bored so I decided to do it. We met with my parents and my brother's family up at Illipah Resevior about 45 mins from Ely, NV. We had a blast. But the weather was a little rough. Windy, rain, thunder and lightening. But as long as it wasn't 100 degrees. We went to a few old mining towns/ghost towns in the mountains, and went swimming at Duck Water, a hot spring. Ate some great food. I swear camping food tastes amazing. Then on our way home, Danny went repelling down a cave. My parents stopped by to keep me company. I had to babysitt Fetch because would want to go down too. But next time we are up in that area I want to go explore the cave too. Here our a few pictures of our weekend. And my youngest niece loves to get her picture taken, she poses and some times pouts. She is one crazy knucklehead.

I know I am behind but have been busy lately, ok not really but lazy. For the 4th of July Danny and I went to Sprink Creek, NV where my brother Dusty lives. It was definetly cooler but still a bit warm. My parents just bought some land just outside of Wells, NV where they intend to build a log home and live some day. That is where most of the outdoor pictures were taken, and they have such an amazing view. We laid around, played croquet, swam, watched fire works and went hot springing. All but three of the family was there with the addition of a great family friend and his family.

These photos are the great views. You never realize how enormous your surroundings are since you are already on a huge ship so in one of the pictures it has another cruise ship in it and it show how huge everything was.

We saw many different types of wildlife so here is a glipse of what we saw.

Mtn. Sheep up the White Pass in Skagway, AK

If you can see, there are 2 others in the water.

These suckers were everywhere. It was like WOW! when we first saw them but then it became "oh look another one, woohoo (sarcasticly)"

If you can see, the ones on ice berg are sea lions and the ones on the right in water are sea otters. The otters were so cute, a friend got great pictures of them so when I get a copy I will post.

We're Back

Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau AK

Well for those of you who may not of known, we went on a cruise in Alaska, the inside passage for 8 days. We had the pleasure of going with the Greens; dad, mom, Tyson, Joey and Nicole. It was the best time ever. Everything was huge and beautiful. It is sad and sort of depressing to be back to reality. It all just feels like a dream now. But an amazing dream. We had so much fun with family. I love them all so much and love spending so much time with them.

So brace yourself. The next few posts that I will be posting will be just about Alaska. We took over 1000 pictures but probably only kept 600. Don't worry you won't have to see all 600, only the few that I really love.

Our Weekend

We went camping with Joey and Nicole this past weekend up by Gunlock, UT. The boys fished and us girls worked on our tans. But there was no luck in catching any fish. We made awesome dutch oven fajitas, and roasted marshmallows. Our camp sight was right next to the stream and we shared it with a few froggies. Unfortunately, we decided not to bring Fetch along, and we were glad we didn't because he would have been one wet, messy, stinky dog.
